The Fair Lane Railroad Business Car Collection contains photographic prints; blueprints, assembly drawings and wiring diagrams; correspondence from 1957-1975 and 1980-1989; 3 wall plaques; a logbook dating from 1948-1971; expense and inspection reports, work orders, and mechanical logbooks from the 1980s; 36 record books from 1983-1984 noting mileage and destinations; parts and installation manuals; restoration paperwork; three 12-inch floppy disks; and newspaper clippings.

Images show Ford staff, presenters, and performers, along with exhibit buildings and visitors, including Henry and Edsel Ford. The album was either made by or assembled for Fred L. Black, who was selected by Edsel Ford to organize the Ford Motor Company exhibit at the Exposition, and who appears in many of the images. Prior to that assignment, Black had served as Editor of the Dearborn Independent and head of the Ford Advertising Department. The Frerer family traveled to Lost Land Lake in northern Wisconsin and stayed for two weeks at a resort, first in the owner's cabin and then in a different cabin.
