Thompson Publishing Co.; and a large-format book, "The Book of the Fair", in nine volumes, by Hubert Howe Bancroft.

The collection includes a photograph album entitled, "White Paper to Wheels: The Construction of the Vega Warrior", a portrait of Triplett in his football uniform; a Detroit Lions team portrait; several pieces of product literature; several material samples by Uniroyal; and an oral history conducted in 2004.

 Abstract:  The Watts Campbell Company was founded in 1851 in Newark, New Jersey, by William Watts and Zachariah Belcher. By 1865, Belcher withdrew from the company, and Daniel T. Campbell became a partner. The company specialized in the production of stationary steam engines until the 1930s, then changed their focus to repair and maintenance until the 1990s. The collection contains business records, correspondence, drawings, and ledgers relating to the company's operation. Extent: Approximately 546 cubic ft. (455 boxes and 140 volumes).  Abstract:  Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, William Albert Jacoby, Jr., or "Radio Jake", was known during the 1930s for his work as a radio engineer and personality resolving radio interference issues around the Midwest. Jacoby worked in several cities including Indianapolis, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and in Detroit for the Detroit News and WWJ Radio. In addition to his engineering work Jacoby organized a number of "Give A Radio" campaigns which collected and donated radios to shut-ins and disaster relief efforts. The nine scrapbooks contain clippings, photographs, scripts, and correspondence describing Jacoby's career in radio and later as a publicist. Also included is a small amount of material from Jacoby's time in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWI, where he was wounded in 1918 and later discharged.

This collection contains that mailing tube as well as the contents, which include a letter of thanks signed by Lee Iacocca, a scroll in recognition of his purchase, and a wallet card inscribed with Bondesen's name and the car's serial number that was to be presented to be assured of preferred service from Ford dealers.

 Abstract:  The Willoughby Company, a custom design automobile body firm, originated in Rome, New York in the late nineteenth century, and later relocated to Utica, New York. One of Willoughby's largest clients was Ford Motor Company, for whom they built many custom Lincoln body styles. The collection consists of business records documenting sales, vehicle specifications, material purchases, and employee wages, and also includes over 600 design drawings for Lincoln, Packard, and Cadillac bodies, among others. Extent: 11.8 cubic ft. (17 boxes, 2 rolls). The collection is open for research.

 Abstract:  During World War II, Ford Motor Company erected a massive factory complex near the Willow Run River in Washtenaw County, Michigan. Between 1942 and 1945, employees at the plant turned out 8,685 B-24 airplanes. To assist with production, a manual was created containing administrative reports and planning materials, with updates distributed monthly. Twelve copies were distributed to various administrators, with the copy in this collection being the Master Copy. The Master Copy is housed in a 3-inch three-ring binder, and contains pages of onion skin as well as photostatic and mimeograph copies. Many pages have been taped together to create an early form of a spreadsheet. The collection is open for research. 0.3 cubic ft. (1 box).
