 Abstract:  George Eugene Adams, a graduate of the Ford Trade School and Lawrence Institute of Technology, worked in the Ford Motor Company Design Department from 1937 to 1942. Adams worked for Briggs Manufacturing Company from 1942 to 1944, and following World War II, returned to Ford eventually becoming Ford of Europe Chief Chassis Engineer in the early 1970s. This small collection consists primarily of reproductions of drawings done by Adams (signed E. Adams), and others, illustrating interior and exterior designs for Ford and Lincoln automobiles during the period 1938 to 1941.

 Abstract:  Herbert and Isabelle Goltry lived in Allen Park, Michigan, and had 3 children: William (Billy), Marie, and Ester. On 24 June 1946, Isabelle's brother wed, and at the reception, chicken salad tainted with typhoid bacteria was served, sickening 22 wedding guests and leading to 11 year old Billy's death. This collection focuses mainly on Billy Goltry, and includes his birth certificate, report cards, pencil drawings, and Cub Scout card. Also included are greeting cards; correspondence and newspaper clippings regarding his illness and death; original and copied photographic prints; invitations to his uncle's wedding and the 1957 Henry Ford Hospital School of Nursing graduation; and Marie's reminiscences of life with Billy.
