 Abstract:  In 1954, Columbia University historian Allan Nevins in collaboration with Frank Ernest Hill published the first volume of a comprehensive history of Henry Ford and his automobile company. The series is comprised primarily of original documents that were selected between 1952 and 1954 from accessions held by the Ford Motor Company Archives for research use in the three volume Nevins and Hill history of the company.

 Abstract:  James H. Burris was a tin and sheet iron worker in Baltimore, Maryland. He did pump and lamp work, and created punched tin pieces and supplies for fruit, oyster, and crab packers. These supplies included colanders, skimmers, cups, pots, and measures. The James H. Burris Papers contains four folders of correspondence, a lock of hair, two canning recipe books with notes by Elizabeth Burris, illustrations by J.H. Burris, assorted recipes for bar cleaning fluids, and photographs of Burris, his employees, and products they produced. 0.25 cubic ft. (1 box).
