 Abstract:  The Kansas City Branch Construction records series, 1913-1945 (8 cubic ft.), consists of contracts, agreements, schedules, progress reports, and correspondence regarding initial construction and periodic building upgrades on the Kansas City, Missouri assembly plant. The series includes subcontractor agreements, specifications, and schedules by Albert Kahn Inc., the plant's architect.

 Abstract:  Ken Wallace, Sr., worked as a photographer for the Crooks Studio in Flint, Michigan. Along with general city scenes, Wallace also took images of the local Buick Motor Co. factory and its employees, his family, and dealer showrooms. The Ken Wallace, Sr. Photograph Collection contains black-and-white photographic prints and negatives ranging in size from 4x5 to 8x10 inches. Of note are images of the Buick factory; an Armistice Day parade in Flint; a family vacation; and local firemen with Christmas toys they gathered for needy children. Also included is a copy of Buick's First Half Century, 1903-1953, an illustrated commemoration of Buick's 50th anniversary. The collection is open for research. 0.3 cubic ft. (1 box).

 Abstract:  The Kirby Company began manufacturing vacuum cleaners and other cleaning accessories after World War I. A unique aspect to the company was that its products were, and still are, only sold directly to consumers by independent distributors, often via in-home demonstrations. This collection contains product literature, 2 promotional VHS videotape cassettes, product brochures and booklets, corporate publications, and posters pertaining to Kirby products.
