 Abstract:  Frank C. Riecks started working at Ford Motor Company in 1916 as a draftsman in the Power and Construction Department. He worked on the Rouge plant, as well as other plants in England, France, China, and Japan. In 1932, Riecks was part of a delegation that traveled around China for Ford Motor Company. This photograph album documents the first trip made with a Ford from Shanghai to Nankin on the first highway in China, with images of the countryside and assorted structures. Also included is one portrait of E.A. Reiniger of Ford Motor Company, along with his written description of the journey.
