 Abstract:  Robert Emery (1773-1841) of Springfield, Massachusetts attended Harvard for a time, and became a ship captain at age twenty, sailing from the ports of Salem, Boston and Newburyport, Mass. The collection consists primarily of correspondence among family members and several property deeds dating from 1816 to 1843.
