 Accession:  2017.73
 Creator:  Ford Motor Company
Abstract:  Collection consists of a single album containing photographs taken during the 1934 Century of Progress International Exposition held in Chicago, Illinois. Images show Ford staff, presenters, and performers, along with exhibit buildings and visitors, including Henry and Edsel Ford. The album was either made by or assembled for Fred L. Black, who was selected by Edsel Ford to organize the Ford Motor Company exhibit at the Exposition, and who appears in many of the images. Prior to that assignment, Black had served as Editor of the Dearborn Independent and head of the Ford Advertising Department. He would go on to oversee Ford involvement in other expositions held during the 1930s, including the 1939-1940 New York World's Fair.
