 Abstract:  In 1946, Ford Motor Company initiated a wide-sweeping reorganization of its operations and administrative offices and departments into a modern corporate divisional structure. The International Division created in 1946 and reorganized again in 1949, acquired direct administrative control over foreign production plants through the division's Manufacturing and Assembly Department.
