 Abstract:  In 1904, Anthony Lyk immigrated to the United States from Poland, joined by his wife Rose and their infant son Joseph later in the year. The Lyk family, expanding with six more children, settled in Elmira, a small farming village in northern Michigan. Over the next 50 years, Anthony achieved success as a farmer and was active in the community, serving as a Justice of the Peace and county commissioner. The Lyk Family papers consist of photocopies and original documents of property records, public office appointments, baptismal and naturalization records documenting the life of Anthony Lyk and his family.
