 Abstract:  The L. D. Haggerty & Son Company was a brick manufacturing company begun at Michigan Avenue and Miller Road, Dearborn, Michigan in 1896. In 1936, the Haggerty powerhouse in Greenfield Village was patterned after the original brick yard facility and Henry Ford duplicated the Haggerty press, making bricks for Greenfield Village buildings in 1937-1938.

 Abstract:  The material is comprised of two notebooks. The first contains photographs and detailed plans for the development of 4500 acres owned by the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn and Allen Park. Included is a summary of the site with a proposed flood control channel, highway system, mass transportation system, density and building renderings. Also included is a detailed report of a master plan, which covers the general concept and major plan of each sector of the property. The second notebook contains photographs of the "People Mover," a twenty-four passenger electric powered vehicle.

 Abstract:  Henry and Clara Ford lived in a succession of fourteen homes, the last of which, Fair Lane, was constructed on the shores of their Rouge River estate in 1915. The Fair Lane papers contain documents representing the Fords' busy and complex lives assembled from the rooms of the mansion after Clara died in 1950.
