 Abstract:  Frank Armstrong worked as a salesman, traveling field representative, and New York branch manager for the Electric Vehicle Company during the company's most ambitious and unsuccessful attempt to establish a monopoly in the automobile industry and in the market for taxicab service in major American cities. The papers are comprised of both Armstrong's business and personal papers and consist of correspondence, meeting minutes, financial statements, stock issues and general accounting information related to his career in the electric vehicle industry at the beginning of the twentieth century. Also included are materials related to several lawsuits Armstrong was involved in, his military records, and a small number of blueprint reproductions of several electric vehicles.
